1. Who are these classes for?
This Spanish beginners course is designed for adults, if you’re completely new to Spanish or have taken fewer than 10 classes or took Spanish many years ago at school, this is the perfect course for you. It’s also ideal if you’ve been learning through an app (like Duolingo) but haven’t had any formal instruction yet.
We also offer classes for kids and teens — you can find more about that in the Courses menu above.
2. How are these classes conducted?
All of our group classes are live on Zoom and led by qualified Spanish teachers who speak both Spanish and English fluently — so you’ll always feel supported.
3. What happens if I have a conflict and can’t attend a live class?
We have you covered, we understand that life sometimes gets in the way so we never expect 100% attendance. If you can’t attend a class just complete a quick form to let us know and we will send you a pre-recorded class video of that lesson that you can watch in your own time so you won’t miss a thing.
4. Are there any extra registration fees or do I have to pay for any class materials?
Absolutely not, we do not charge any additional money after you sign up for the course, there are no registration fees, no fees for class materials, no fees for homework, we also don’t charge sales tax meaning you pay no more than $13.50 per 75 minute class when signing up for the full course.
5. I can’t decide between group or private 1 on 1 classes, what do you recommend?
Group Classes are a more affordable option and a great way to learn in a fun, social environment. You’ll interact with other students, practice conversation in pairs or small groups, and stay motivated together. Each group session lasts 75 minutes, giving you extra time to practice speaking with peers.
If you prefer a more personalized pace, private classes are ideal. You’ll get one-on-one attention from your teacher, and you can focus on your specific goals. These classes are 50 minutes long, and you have the flexibility to reschedule when needed — perfect for busy or changing schedules.
6. What makes WeSpeak Idiomas different from other schools and apps?
Most of our students come to us after trying apps like Duolingo. Those apps are designed to be fun and addictive, and to learn vocabulary — but not to help you speak Spanish in real conversations.
At WeSpeak Idiomas, our focus is on developing conversational Spanish from day one. Our classes are interactive, engaging, and designed to get you speaking from your very first session.
7. How many students are in a group class?
We keep the classes small so you get as much speaking time as possible, group classes have between 3 and maximum 6 students in each class.
